Some Types of Insurance Available
 
Auto / Vehicle
This is coverage for motorized vehicles which can cover damage to a vehicle (usually required by a lender) and also
liability of damage to other property (required by law). There are six different types of coverage:       
§          Bodily injury liability
§          Medical payments or Personal Injury Protection (PIP)
§          Property damage liability
§          Collision
§          Comprehensive
§          Uninsured motorists coverage


Homeowners
This policy covers the house, garage and other property structures as well as personal possessions against a wide 
variety of perils such as windstorms, fire, and theft. Homeowner’s coverage is required by your mortgage lender.

Renters
This is a policy that covers a renter’s possessions against a wide variety of perils. These policies are inexpensive 
often costing only pennies a day.

Flood Insurance
Coverage that is available through the federal government covering flood damage. It is sold by licensed insurance agents like Greater Piedmont Insurance Group.

Term Life
Term life insurance is inexpensive coverage for a specified time period on an individual’s life.

 Permanent Life
Higher priced than term insurance but covers an individual their entire life. Builds cash value which lowers true cost of protection and is thus considered a financial asset. 

Disability
Continues a person’s income if they are unable to work due to accident or sickness.
 
Long Term Care
Provides coverage if a person needs nursing care at home or is confined to a nursing facility.
 
Cancer
Coverage providing benefits if a person is diagnosed with cancer.
